Hi! Mehul,I am Himanshu muni from mumbai.I am 65 years old and has been surfing internet generally for fun, information etc.The real reason is that my sons-two are in the u.s.a.so,we communcate through this, and off course use voip for telephonic communications.I read about your nanaji and your school. It reminded me of my school days.(1953-60)I write here breifly & hope you feel the resonance.Amulakh Amichand Multipurpouse school had Shri Parashar Desai(uncle of Ashish etc.) as music teacher. He prefered to be so otherwise he had B.Sc.& could have taught other subjects.Every saturday he would sing preyers. On other days students would do so.In addition records were played. The artist were like M.S.Subbulaxmi,Rafi(Baiju Bawra),Hemantkumar(Anand Ashram)etc. It is indeed comandable that you give some much time to revive.Ihave recently started reading gujarati on internet and enjoy very much. Some years down the line, those who put up their own creations will be better known.I wish you all round and balanced growth and enriched life in every repect. Thanks and bye.
Mehul:
I was surfing internet and found your site while looking for a Gujarati song. Well, it brought back some old memories. I am 55 years old and attended CN for 2 years (1968-69) and passed SSC in ‘69. I still remember going to the prathana hall and your Nanaji’s music. I did not have any personal contact with him but I could tell he was a kind soul.

I did remember “bhailalbhai” very good. he had taught us music at that time. frankly, I was not into music at that time than playing. “Aapde rakhadva and tofan ma expert”. but now i realize, I missed a lot of sweet music. so, I was trying to find it online and come accross this site. Dear Mehul
great site !
I was fortunate to learn music from Bhailalbhai saheb in sangit udyog from 1974 to 1979.He is one of the best teachers I have come across. His style of teaching, simplisity & melodious songs still linger in our memory.
When Indumatiben died he sung very famous song “jyare a deh manhi deve didhelu ayakhnu khute” Remembering that song still bring tears to the eyes.
Thanks for bringing us back to the golden time of our childhood
Dear Mehulbhai:
Very good work. Tremendous efforts.
Thank you for sharing such a nice heritage to all.
Few Songs are missing from Bal geet section. Can you fix it?
Thanks,
